Katsucon 2013 just around the corner!

hey guys! long time no love.
most of my day-to-day updates, sketches, and WIPs are posted to my tumblr! my dA's only reserved for polished work. so if you really want to keep tabs on what i do, your best bet is to hop over there!
favourite con of the year is rolling by in about a month so i figured now's as good a time as ever to get some sort of schedule going on!
THURSDAY
Cosplays?:
none!
Schedule?:
sit at home and relax with a nice cup of coffee.
* plan is to have the posse come over to chillax before heading out the day after!
FRIDAY
Cosplays?:
- Ami Kawashima [ToraDora!!, default ver.]
- Female Rocket Grunt [Pokemon, HGSS ver.]
Schedule?:
- Morning/Afternoon: Ami Kawashima
- Afternoon/Night: Female Rocket Grunt
* the plan is to wear Ami for most of the day and then switch into the Grunt for late night shenanigans!! this year our grunt group is EVEN BIGGER and the plan is to make legit recruitment cards, so if you wanna be part of the big R, keep an eye out for us all
SATURDAY

- Lyndis [Fire Emblem: Rekka no ken, default ver.]
- France/Francis Bonnefoy [Axis Powers: Hetalia, default ver.]
Schedule?
- Morning: Lyndis
- Afternoon/Night: France/Francis Bonnefoy
*the plan is to do Fire Emblem with the same group as before until my wig starts hurting, at which point we're going to dissolve into a gigantic puddle of hamsteaks and hetalitards!! i am SUPER EXCITED to bring Francis back out again!! i'm remaking it all from scratch, so i guess we can call this Francis 3.0? hahaha

* cosplaying on sundays ain't really my thaaaang so chances are i'll remain out of costume! if i feel the BURNING NEED to cosplay though i might hop into rocket grunt!

Otakon is long gone and now i have an onslaught of other problems keeping me busy
i really have no new things to discsuss with you guys, but i wanted to knock that Otakon journal down
i've recently fallen back into the pit of naruto. i'm not keeping up with the series, but i find myself completely in love with the characters all over again, hahaha
so i'll probably be uploading fanart of that
it's also worth mentioning that my next con probably won't be until 2013, unless i can somehow swing AUSA. money is tight

wow i've been really bad about updating here. sorry, guys!
but as i'm sure a lot of you are aware, otakon is right around the corner! i should have made this post sooner, but a lot has been going on and i just couldn't buckle down and do it. i am now, though!!
so let's cut to the chase.
º Thursday
Cosplays:
- NONE because i'm too lazy to ever do cosplays on thursdays
Schedule:
- ahurrrrrr
º Friday
Cosplays:
- Cheren [Pokemon BW1, default ver.]
- Miroku [Inuyasha, default ver.]
- Team Rocket Grunt [Pokemon HG/SS, custom ver.] (???(

- Afternoon-Early Evening: Miroku
- Late Evening-Night: Cheren/Team Rocket Grunt
* i'm pulling Miroku back out! not for long, though, since the con is hot and that is 4 layers of cotton sateen and twill. a majority of the day will be worn in Cheren, unless
wants to do Lyra at night instead, in which case i'll switch to the Grunt.
º Saturday

* because FUCK YOU THIS IS A DREAM COSPLAY so i'm gonna get as much out of it as i can!! pheonix-cat is gonna tag along as Serra and our friend Eric is coming along as Hector. it's gonna be fun!

* it's an easy and light outfit and not only do i have my grunts back with me, i also have a protagonist to take down, a koffing to keep me company, an executive to keep me in line, and a bunch of slowpokes to cut the tails of. (:<

hey, guys! katsucon is long over so i figured it was time to update here
the con was fantastic!! ran into a lot of familiar faces, had a lot of good times, and... am all con'd out for the year, hahaha. good thing next one isn't until june...!
the art front's been pretty slow. i've been hit bad with art block and i'm not really satisfied with anything as of late. it's put a stunt on the two askblogs i run on tumblr. hopefully, experimenting a lot with technical things will pull me out of it!! i'd love to start cranking out finished pieces so i can show you guys! ;A;
i really had no aim with this journal, just kind of wanted to bump the katsucon entry down. so yeah, cheers!!
